I live a very casual, stay-at-home life and my personal style reflects that. As far as make-up goes, for the most part I'm a minimalist but I do like playing with the occasional trends, mixing and matching colors, as well as tossing in eclectic pieces (like a vintage pocket watch, a steampunk inspired hat, or a fangirl bracelet).
In real life, my eclectic tastes and desire for casualness doesn't always mesh well. It's one of the reasons why I knew I'd like Polyvore. Here, I can afford everything and it's in front of me in a way that it isn't irl.
I don't know if I'll win any contests, but it does help to focus on what works and... more importantly... what doesn't.
Non-fashion related stuff: I live with my boyfriend of 5+ years who spoils both our cat and me rotten. Since we're Irish, I've decided to learn Irish Gaelic (Gaeilge) and being that I used to be fluent in Spanish I'm refreshing myself on that front too.
